Hi!
My name is Emily Welsh. I am a second year
student in the Master of Museum Studies Program at the University of
Toronto. I started this blog in September 2017 as a fun way for me to
complete my journal assignment for Museum Planning and Management.
I
completed my Bachelor of Sciences Honours Degree at Queen's University
in 2016. There I focused on Life Sciences for my major and completed a
minor in Classical Studies. Through my excavation course I discovered a
passion for material culture and wished to combine it with science
education!
My current interests involve collections
management work in science centres & museums and how objects can be
used to communicate scientific concepts to museum publics.
I hope you enjoy reading my insights from the class, and I look forward to reading any comments or remarks you may have!
